Well i'm done with school. Mixed feelings about that, happy its summer and I don't have to deal with disrespectful students anymore, but sad cause I don't have a job! On my last day i was checking the JTHS employment opportunities just to make sure that they were not hiring anymore biology teachers (cause they needed to get rid of me because of the numbers of students taking biology, and they probably picked me specifically cause they have to pay me more having a masters and all and that I had a unsatisfactory on my evaluation) Well what i found was that a position was open for a media specialist at west campus. It say high school teacher/media specialist. So this means its not an assistant job, and the qualifications were that you have your teaching certificate, which i do. Seeing this gave me hope. I really hope that i get this position. I can stay there for a bit and figure out what i want to do. I should have a shoe in cause i came from central, but we'll see...
I've been so productive and its the 3rd day i've been on break. I'm going to list some of the things i did because i feel so satisfied i got them done: fertilized the lawn, mowed the lawn (Andy kinda helped), pulled weeds and spread mulch and placed rocks in the back yard, organized office closet, (now Andy has a place to hide, i mean put his warhammer crap, i mean stuff, so that it is less in the living room) I organized the stuff i took home from school and found places for the boxes, i worked on hobbies in the craft room, washed all my sheets, quilts, blankets anything that had to do with my bed, cleaned bathrooms, washed the shower curtain in the washing machine (this really pleased me for some reason...)i think thats about it, and i have so much more to do!
So on the job front i've decided i'm going to wait and if i don't hear anything from JTHS by the end of next week I'll email boombah and be like remember me? You got any jobs laying around that you might wanna give me? Okay time to get back to organizing the spare room!

I woke up with this song in my head....
The rain rain rain came down down down
In rushing, rising riv'lets,
'Til the river crept out of it's bed
And crept right into Piglet's!
Poor Piglet, he was frightened,
With quite a rightful fright.
And so, in desperation
A message he did write.
He placed it in a bottle
And it floated out of sight.
And the rain rain rain came down down down
So Piglet started bailing.
He was unaware, atop his chair,
While bailing he was sailing!
And the rain rain rain came down down down
And the flood rose up up upper.
Pooh, too, was caught and so he thought,
"I must rescue my supper!"
Ten honey pots he rescued,
Enough to see him through,
But as he sopped up his supper,
The river sopped up Pooh!
And the water twirled and tossed him
In a honey pot canoe!
The rain rain rain came down down down...
Also i told Andy that we should build an ark and he said we do have two of one species...and then i said and we have goldfish, he then said "Goldfish don't go on the ark Christina." And then i felt dumb.
I still faintly smell dog pee in my dining room. That is all.

We have a house! It is ours and no one elses! So the closing was yesterday at 3:30. I ran from my classroom at 3:15 and over to Shorewood where it was taking place. we signed a lot of papers, and got some money back, which is good considering we gave them about $34000 as a down payment. After the closing we went back to the apartment and grabbed some boxes and stuff and took both vehicles filled with stuff over and unloaded. Andy crawled out on the roof and beconed me to do the same, and we sat there looking out over the street. I felt really ackward when he said hi to some neighbors. Then he went off to gaming and i went home, but not before stopping by culvers for a celebratory chocolate shake....chocolate is my alcohol.
Today my parents and grandma are cleaning the house up cause i would not have had time to do so before we moved in. I'm so glad they are cause their standards of clean are what i would like to live up to but usually seems out of my reach. I guess they spent an hour or more cleaning the fridge. I guess there was pop spilled inside and mold and such. They wiped all the cabinents and pretty much every surface in the kitchen. My dad used the carpet cleaner and shampooed the downstairs area carpets and upstairs carpet in the spare bedroom. I feel bad and i want to help but i have to freakin pack. Which is what i should be doing now...
I have to go to the vet tonight and get flea shampoo cause i noticed last night that the kittys have the fleas. I'm hoping that if i bathe them over at the new place and put frontline on them that they will not get fleas. (i think fleas are living in the apartment and without spraying down the place, there is no way i could get rid of them) So i have to bathe kitties tomorrow.
The only problem that has occured during this whole thing is the issue of my Dad not wanting Andy's dad to install a new furnice. Andy's dad installed the furnace in his house and has done it many times before that. My dad is concerned that they will go on vacation and it will break and he will not be able to fix it, and if he does it then it won't have a warrenty, and that furnaces are very dangerous and if he doesn't do it right we may die of carbon monixide posioning. (Which if we hadn't had a house inspection we would not have found that the furnace was cracked and if we or the previous owner went to turn it on in the fall, we or she would have probably died from carbon monoxide posioning. Yea! for house inspections, and i had to argue with Andy over it. WTH?) So yeah, i wish that problem would just magically go away, but i know it won't.
Alright i really should get busy!

Things i keep thinking today. This school year will be great, or i will force it to...with violence!
Seattle was awesome, i held a starfish, pictures are on facebook. Spite for those that don't have face book..::cough::(BRIAN)
House plans still going good, got the loan, did the home inspection, crossing fingers that rates go to 6 so we can lock them in low...Seriously ::crossing fingers:: Saying multiply prayers cause that's the difference between 2 hundred more dollars a month for mortgage. Bleck. Starting to pack.
Teacher's institute starts tomorrow (AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH) The summer was a little too awesome, i do not want to go back quite yet, but i guess i don't ever really want to. The money will be nice.
Must go and enjoy my last day of freedom. LAST DAY! ::sob::

If a house makes you cry, it's got to be the house right?
We still have the offer on the one house in Plainfield, with that in mind we went and saw one in Morris. The house is really cute, built in 1920's remodeled. We looked through it. Andy loved it, i wasn't sure at first, then we talked to the owner a little bit and drove by a park down the street and i started crying. It reminded me of the house i grew up in on Hawthorne when i was little. The house is just so peaceful, the neighborhood is peaceful. Andy kept saying that's a house to raise kids in.
So we are going to say no to the one house and say yes to this house and hopefully we will get it.
Few bad things...moving to Morris...it seems so far away. There is no sump pump in the basement but the owner said that she has lived there 15 years and even in the heaviest of rains it only leaks a small trickle and goes right to the drain. Not necessisaraly a bad thing, only 1 car garage, and gravel drive.
Good things, Screened in porch, with swing (sigh), hardwood floors, built in woodwork, new awesome kitchen with awesome thick cabinets, 2 full bathrooms, tub downstairs shower upstairs, comes with most of the appliances, yard, SWING ON PORCH, Cute outside, utility tub. did i mention the swing on the freakin screened in porch!!
Here is the listing of the house. Sorry link is not working and i'm too tired to mess with it...copy/ paste http://www.redfin.com/IL/MORRIS/750-E-BE NTON-St-60450/home/17104672

I got gas for $3.97 a gallon. HAWT!!!!!
Went to Chinese restaurant with my parents Grandma and Brother. Got John Locke's fortune, "A great pleasure in life is doing what people say you cannot do!"
Heard more information about the house we put an offer on. Apparently there is another offer that was put on it yesterday for $169, the so called asking price. So i'm thinking we probably won't get this house either. Not that i really, really wanted it...but still a house would be nice!!
I'm sure the perfect 2 story, 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom, basement, hardwood floor, laundry room, 2 car attached garage, with nice fenced in yard with mature (hamickable) trees is out there...its just that we need to find it and before everyone else! bah.

Okay remember a few weeks ago when we put an offer on a house and they were taking their sweet time to decide about our offer.....Well the answer was no. So we started looking again....On Wednesday a house that we had looked at before (i think i posted about this one. it was the one with the sad, sad, people so sad why would i want to steal their house sad) had a price change to $169. Very Nice...Worth a second look.
So i called the Real Estate agent and said we wanted to look at the house but with out the people inside. So we ended up seeing the house and the people waited outside. (at first i was like oh great i'm going to feel bad about the people outside in the heat and then i was like screw them! If they can't find some where to go for like a half hour....bah)(yes turn them into sheep) Okay so looked through the house
budobudo was not expecting much cause he didn't like the yard.
It had woodish floor. Not exactly hardwood floor like advertised. It was like 4inch by 4inch squares of wood tile like pattern. (if that makes sense) That floor was in the front room and living room next to the kitchen. The floor in the kitchen was dark brown tile which kinda clashes with the other floor. Large kitchen open area, high ceilings, with a little balcony ledge thing you can see the upstairs from the downstairs, vis/vers. Deck that needs some painting and perhaps reinforcing. Smallish yard but it could be cause it has a freakin trampoline in it. No fence, we would have to get a fence. No trees, would have to get a tree. Up the stairs and the upstairs was wood floor we were trying to figure out if it was real hardwood or pergo and i don't think we came to a conclusion. It was shinny and pretty. Oh i forgot about downstairs not really a laundry room just washer/dryer behind closet doors, and small bathroom had dark blue tile on floor and purple walls, bleck! Okay back to upstairs, three bedrooms, one bathroom with multiple doors, nice walk in closets. Horrible border in master bedroom. (i hope border is easy to get off) Downstairs in the basement they started to finish it. There is a room that is drywalled it just needs taped and a shower started and an area were you can see them putting a toilet. Seemed dry and secure. So yeah.
I don't know last night i was like i don't want it. I don't want to deal with it. Today i'm a little better. It's not exactly what i want, i kinda feel like i'm settling. With this apartment i could see myself in it. I guess since i would have to change somethings and their crap was every where it was harder for me to see myself in it. Andy says we should make an offer. I think that is what we are going to do. The price is so good and we estimated and we would only be paying like $300 more than we pay now including taxes. Any advice? Here it is...

Something i'm proud of is that last week i went to Jazzercise everday, 5 times in one week! Shutup yes i go to Jazzercise.
We put an offer on a house a week ago today .They say the soonest we will hear anything about the house will be in a week. I am really not expecting to hear about it anytime soon. Its a short sale and we were the 4th people to put down an offer on the house. Bah.
I just got done making a collage of wedding announcements. They are on newspaper. Do you think that the newspaper will last without fading too bad?
I'm watching Valentine lick Clementine to pieces right now. He likes to eat her whiskers. Seriously she has no more whiskers. They are weird and yet so cute.
I have to substitute for summer school on Wednesday and Thursday. Not looking forward to this, but they will give me money so that is good, i guess.
